Explore the six Kingian Nonviolence Principles through Spoken Word Poetry. Come as you are, no prior experience is required. Join us in activities that range from creative writing, surfing our streams of consciousness, and discovering the rawr in every voice. Make Friends around the world and journey into the adventurous world of your imagination. The youth will be working on a final showcase for peers, parents, and poet enthusiasts on December 15th. Feel free to come to any single session.
Intern Anesu Makufa brings messages of nonviolence through positive art. Anesu recently finished studying his master’s in Education and Human Development at The George Washington University. He is a Zimbabwean performing poet, philosopher, painter, and pianist. Meet Anesu through his spoken word performance.
We seek to spark impactful internal dialogue, empowering group learning, and affirming discoveries of voice in our hour and a half long Zoom sessions.
