Johansen Fellowship in Nonviolence, Justice, and Peace is awarded annually by On Earth Peace to a young person interested in learning, practicing, teaching, or researching nonviolent direct action in the service of justice and peace. This fellowship encourages building on the teachings and lived experiences of Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Jesus of Nazareth, Dorothy Day, Barbara Deming, Erica Chenoweth, Maria J. Stephan and other exemplars of nonviolence.
