Kingian Nonviolence Leadership Training

We develop leaders through Kingian Nonviolence training and support.

Our team of experienced staff and interns offer training and consultation for leaders working to develop thriving communities of justice and peace, using the discipline of Kingian Nonviolence in solidarity with current movements and accountability to impacted people.

Whether you are trying to change an unjust policy or practice, or transform a beloved community and institutionalize nonviolence throughout its entire fabric, OEP can help.

Learn What You Need, Where You Need It

Trainings take place online or in person, and include a wide range of offerings from 1-hour introductions to key concepts, all the way to 2-day core studies for KNV organizers, and 2-week courses for certification of KNV trainers, and other packages in between. We also adapt custom offerings for specific situations, along with follow-up consultation as needed.

We envision a world in Beloved Community, liberated from oppression, violence, and war. Our growing network of KNV trainers and organizers are leading the way into that world.

The Six Principles of Kingian Nonviolence

  1. Nonviolence is a way of life for courageous people.
  2. The Beloved Community is the framework for the future.
  3. Attack forces of evil, not persons doing evil.
  4. Accept suffering without retaliation for the sake of the cause to achieve the goal.
  5. Avoid internal violence of the spirit as well as external physical violence.
  6. The universe is on the side of justice.
