Our brothers and sisters at the Brethren Mennonite Council (BMC) for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Interests share some wonderful resources in their Fall 2025 newsletter. Advocates of the LGBTQ+ community can utilize the resources to support the work of challenging harmful systems and proclaiming, “the sacred worth of queer, trans, and gender-expansive people connected to Mennonite and Brethren traditions.” The BMC has been doing this work since its formation in 1976, supporting LGBTQ+ members and their families in Brethren and Mennonite churches.

Below are the resources highlighted in the newsletter:

1. Resource pertaining to protecting our LGBTQ+ community members:

2. Resource to aid in protecting our Immigrant communities:

Please reach out to the Brethren Mennonite Council here if you or someone you love needs safety planning, relocation, or spiritual care in this time of increasing violence.
