Developing intergenerational leadership in peace and justice has long been a goal for us. We have been collecting the stories of dozens of leaders OEP has helped in each generation, and would like to share their work with you here. Keep an eye on upcoming Peacebuilders for new profiles of the many Just Peace Leaders and their work! We hope hearing from the leaders OEP has supported will inspire you on your own journey in peace and justice!
Today we would like to highlight Priscilla Weddle, a compassionate, hardworking leader, animal lover, and former Children’s Peace Formation Coordinator at On Earth Peace. One of Priscilla’s greatest accomplishments at OEP was establishing the Read Aloud Project. As Priscilla said about the project, “The Read Aloud Project was created to provide educational resources on peace and justice during the COVID-19 pandemic. The response from the community has been great, so we decided to extend the project through June and possibly through July. I have enjoyed connecting with members of the community.”
