December 15th at 7 pm EST/4 pm PT
So much has happened in 2020, especially when thinking about racial justice movements and advocacy. Local communities and national life in the US have been disrupted socially and politically, as campaigns and conversations built pressure for foundational change in institutions across society. As a result, more communities and individuals are breaking their silence and complacency in racism and seeking a better, more equitable world. Now is the time to speak loudly and honestly as we challenge ourselves to do the work and restructure systems of oppression.
Join the OEP-RacialJustice Learning Action Community on December 15th at 4pmPT/7pmET to discuss and re-situate ourselves in this racial justice moment. As 2020 draws to a close, we will look both backward and forward to reflect on ourselves as racial justice advocates. How has this year changed you in your advocacy? What has changed for you and will never be the same? How do you hope to move forward - within your own community and as part of this Learning Action Community? As part of this call, we will give a preview of plans for regular Racial Justice organizing/accountability meetings in 2020.
On Earth Peace’s Racial Justice Learning Action Community (LAC) seeks to be a place for engagement, education, collaboration, and action among advocates and organizations actively committed to working towards justice for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). Our hope is for the creation of a Beloved Community that empowers and equips its members with community, capacity, and commitment to racial justice.
