Mike Yarrow Peace Fellowship - "Post-Election NV Strategies and Tactics"

The Mike Yarrow Peace Fellowship (MYPF) and the Western Washington Fellowship of Reconciliation invited On Earth Peace's Matt Guynn to speak on November 15 about nonviolence tactics & strategies in the post-election period.

"Matt Guynn (Portland, OR) is the director of organizing for churches and community groups with On Earth Peace. He is level II Kingian Nonviolence Trainer grounded in the philosophy and methodology of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the broader US Civil Rights movement. Since 2013, he has worked with a team to offer advanced online education in Kingian Nonviolence. Matt is currently coordinating and online training course for 34 people in 8 countries who want to be certified to conduct basic Kingian Core Training workshops. Two Mike Yarrow Peace Fellows, Xeo Sterling and Max Heine, are enrolled in that training... Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to bear on the upcoming questions of which nonviolent strategies and tactics will be most effective, depending on the apparent outcome of the U.S. 2020 election, which may or may not be certain at this time. The organizing could range from Trump declaring martial law and a fraudulent election result (because he lost) to a clear landslide victory for candidates with a progressive agenda. How best can activists dedicated to nonviolence respond to such changes? Join us to consider the strategic and tactical options."

The event will be held on November 15th, 2020 from 6:30PM-8PM Pacific via Zoom! - Click here to see that start time in your time zone.
