Samhar Almomani, Kingian Nonviolence Organizer is hosting Storyscape Painting Women's History Month 2023-03-16 15:40:35 -0400
Storyscape Painting Women's History Month
Join us to participate for a painting night to discuss the intersectionality of being a woman and celebrating women's history month. We will be having a hybrid session with students from Elizabethtown College (in person) and Zoom attendants (online). We will be using art and creative avenues to explore racial, ethnic and socio economic intersectionalities of being a woman. No prior experience needed, only your open mind and an open canvas. Bring whatever artistic material you have present for the art portion of the evening. We will be in partnership with It's On Us, Gender-Sexuality Alliance, and Community Living, campus groups, as well as OEP Children Peace Formation Organizer, Youth and Young Adult Peace Formation Organizer, and Kingian Nonviolence Organizer.
Elizabethtown College was founded by interested members of the Church of the Brethren in response to an initiative by the Reverend Jacob G. Francis. Francis was an American author, a historian, a photographer, and a Church of the Brethren minister. We invite all members of the Church of the Brethren to join us as well in conversation and community.

"I am Samhar Almomani, a Jordanian studying public health at Elizabethtown College and the Kingian Nonviolence Organizer Intern. Social justice and restorative justice are interests of mine, and I am excited to continue to learn more at On Earth Peace.
