Pam Smith is Executive Director and Trainer. She is a public historian and long-time Chicago consultant for nonprofit organizations, currently living in Richmond, Virginia. Her team conducted the feasibility study that set the stage for the Chicago Freedom School. Pam has worked with many youth groups in the city and served as a senior press aide to Jesse Jackson in his 1988 presidential bid and to Barack Obama in his primary campaign for US Senate. Pam is coeditor of The Chicago Freedom Movement: Martin Luther King Jr. and Civil Rights Activism in the North.
Clara McGilly is the Kingian Nonviolence intern at On Earth Peace. From Oakland, California, Clara is in her third year at Pitzer College studying linguistics and math. She completed her Level 1 training in Kingian Nonviolence in 2021.WHENOctober 19, 2021 at 3:00pm

Clara is from Oakland, CA and studies Linguistics and Math at Pitzer College in Claremont, CA. She is a level 1 certified Kingian Nonviolence trainer and believes that Kingian Nonviolence has the power to bring peace and justice to the world. When she's not working or studying, Clara enjoys swimming, playing card games, or cooking.
