De’Aiyziah Goodwin, On Earth Peace's Social Media Organizer is a rising fourth-year English Major at Spelman College. She’s passionate about literature, especially storytelling. When she’s not reading a good book, you can find her trying to write one or playing The Sims 4. With an interest in publishing; marketing; and initiatives around environmentalism, non-violence, addiction recovery, and mental health, she is excited to be a part of On Earth Peace.
Why did you apply to On Earth Peace? What drew you to the organization?
I applied to On Earth Peace because I felt like my visions aligned with a lot of the mission that On Earth Peace supports.
What are your favorite projects that you’ve worked on?
Thus far, my favorite project I’ve worked on is the 3000 Miles for Peace fundraiser. There was an opportunity for interns to participate, and I felt that this allowed me to feel more connected to OEP. Along with this, I learned a lot about my part as Social Media Organizer during this time.
How has OEP affected your future aspirations?
In the future, I want to go more into social media organizing and marketing, so I feel like OEP has given me more passion for my future endeavors.
What would you like people to know about OEP and yourself?
I want people to know that OEP is a genuine community. Although I have not been here long, I have met some of the most understanding and kind people while being here!
