Christian Peacemaker Teams
Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) is an accompaniment organization, people go to specific locations and walk with other people who are experiencing violent oppression and help to amplify their stories of abuse and oppression so that they may be heard by everybody. CPT primarily works out of Turtle Island (US, Canada), Palestine, Iraqi-Kurdistan, Colombia and the Aegean Migrant Solidarity. Marie is the chair of the steering committee as a representative for OEP where she assisted in developing the Harassment/Sexual Harassment Policy and Child Safeguarding Policy. She takes pride in her work as she is able to connect the undoing oppression work done by both CPT and OEP and in the process strengthen both organizations.

ON EARTH PEACE IMPACT
“OEP’s value of intergenerational leadership development has impacted my work for justice and peace -- first as a youth through their peace retreats, then as a young adult staff person providing a decentralized work culture that allowed me to move and grow without changing my job, and now as a parent and professional welcoming my children into OEP spaces and inviting me to participate in organizational leadership at OEP and with our partners.”
