Humanity For Relief and Development
Humanity For Relief and Development (HRD) engages in a variety of relief projects. Their current focus is on Yemen and helping their people. They provide Mercy Bakery and Mercy Kitchen to help with food security, providing bread and food to the kitchen. Few American nonprofits are approved by Yemeni government, but HRD is one of the few that obtained approval from the government of Yemen to conduct humanitarian projects. Arielys' upcoming role is to conduct research about Yemen and use this knowledge to help revamp the website. She also is trying to help the non profit organization on an international scale by connecting with donors and helping them to increase their presence worldwide.

On Earth Peace
On Earth Peace focuses on supporting people who are working for justice and peace, helping them to develop as leaders in their communities. Arielys' job was to connect with different organizations as well as work on migrant and immigration reform. One of her main projects included developing a community platform for social media where people are able to share resources such as webinars or discussions about different news (focus on US and migrants) with an international perspective.

On Earth Peace's Impact on Arielys
“When I first came to OEP, I was the first one to take on the role of immigration justice organizer intern. I had to create the Facebook group and connect with different organizers to understand their line of work. For instance, I helped promote and engage with one of OEP's partners to send a delegation to the US-Mexico border and have planned webinars for organizers to connect with each other. My work at OEP led me to learn to effectively connect with different organizers in the realm of justice work and to understand how the social media platform can be used as a way to bring about change.” -- Arielys Liriano
