The Immigration Legal and Mutual Aid Fund is a project of On Earth Peace in partnership with the Church of the Brethren Deportation Defense Response Steering Committee.
Intended uses of the fund are to facilitate mutual aid to cover personal and legal expenses related to costs incurred for immigration, asylum, and related application fees (“papers”), immigration-related travel, airline fees, family support when a deportation has occurred, and more.
It is financially administered by the Atlantic Southeast District of the Church of the Brethren.
All funds received are meant to be distributed in accordance with the purposes of the fund.
A 3% processing fee will be held by the administrator of the fund to cover mailing and other costs.
The criteria for distributing funds are as follows:
The recipient must be a member or part of the Church of the Brethren family through participation in a Brethren congregation.
The request must be made by a Church of the Brethren congregation, inclusive of projects, fellowships, and meeting points.
The Church or entity that applies will commit to receive and disburse the funds.
Congregations may apply for up to $2500.00, one time per person, maximum $5,000 per household. There is no limit of individuals who may apply from each congregation.

El Fondo de Ayuda Legal y Mutua para la Inmigración es un proyecto de On Earth Peace en colaboración con el Comité Directivo de Respuesta a la Defensa contra la Deportación de la Iglesia de los Hermanos.
