OEP Community Check-In #5: Anti-Racism/Anti-Oppression

Fifth in our series of #OEPCommunity check-ins under COVID, this meetup is a time to build #BelovedCommunity with others in OEP's constituency of peace and justice practitioners.

Our theme on June 5 is On Earth Peace’s core value of anti-racism/anti-oppression:

“We commit to name and undo barriers to participation in our programs based on identity, and to work for full inclusion and equity for all who wish to join in our work. We commit to the long-term transformation of On Earth Peace, the church, and society.”
(here are our five core values)

Participants will gain insights on engaging racism and oppression through tools and lenses that OEP uses in our journey toward becoming an anti-racist multi-racial institution. Among others, we will compare and contrast “white institutional values” and “transforming institutional values,” a framework that we learned from CrossRoads Anti-Racism Training and Organizing.

Join us to connect with others who are committed to this work in our own lives and institutions.
