At OEP, our work goes hand-in-hand with local communities and faith groups committed to peace and justice. For years, we’ve partnered closely with community organizers and Church of the Brethren congregations, supporting their unique mission to make a positive social change in the world.

Our Organizing Projects

Our organizing efforts reflect pressing needs and empower communities to act on their values. We’re honored to collaborate on a range of initiatives, including:

  • Gun Violence Prevention– Galvanize the Church of the Brethren to work towards reducing gun violence by fostering dialogue, building a supportive advocate network, and mobilizing congregational action.
  • Standing with People of Color: Connects Church of the Brethren members committed to racial justice, offering education on Jesus’ teachings and organizing efforts to address racial inequities and build a Beloved Community.
  • Affinity Groups: empowers small, identity-based groups to take nonviolent action on social issues, supported by training in Kingian Nonviolence and ongoing community-building.

Support for Independent Justice Projects

As part of our community-building mission, OEP also acts as a fiscal sponsor for peace and justice projects needing a tax-exempt platform. This service empowers smaller organizations to focus on their work while benefiting from our administrative support.
