At OEP, we’re committed to nurturing the voices and vision of children, youth, and young adults. Our work with young leaders is about more than just preparing them for future roles — it’s about equipping them to create change now. Through hands-on experiences, meaningful connections, and dynamic support, we’re fostering a lifelong commitment to justice and peace.

Internships: A Path to Lifelong Impact

Our internship program is designed to advance OEP’s mission while offering emerging peacebuilders the chance to grow personally and professionally in a faith-based nonprofit setting. Interns contribute to important initiatives, gaining skills in leadership and social justice organizing rooted in the principles of Kingian Nonviolence. Through mentorship and meaningful responsibilities, interns develop their voices as leaders and advocates for peace.

Community Engagement Grants for Youth Groups

Our community engagement grants support youth-led projects focused on peace and justice, offering up to $500 in funding. Grant recipients gain the tools and knowledge to make their projects impactful through:

  • Training in organizing within a Kingian Nonviolence framework.
  • Completing three specialized trainings that equip young leaders with skills in nonviolent action, leadership, and issue-specific strategies designed to support their unique projects.
