Affinity Groups 2024 Reflection & 2025 Planning

Join us for the end of year affinity group meet up. We will look back on the year of organizing and reflect on each group's journey so far. We hope to plant seeds for the upcoming year, so this will be a time of sharing, learning, and planning ahead.

We want to hear about the work each group has done, and the results you are hoping to achieve next.

We will share together for mutual inspiration and accompaniment. Some have used the 90 day Plan, and others have implemented other models, all with varying successes; we are excited to connect no matter how much you have accomplished (or not!).

Our main goal is to set up for 2025 with you and with the larger affinity group community.

• Learn about specific Kingian Nonviolence tools for your group to use in 2025
• Share and reflect about the discipline of nonviolence
• Look forward to your 2025 organizing work

With this program, On Earth Peace's aim is to empower affinity groups to build on their successes in community organizing. We are actively using Kingian Nonviolence principles, steps, and tools to positively impact our communities. By creating an affinity group in their own areas, people galvanizing like-minded individuals with shared goals towards stronger and more inclusive communities, towards justice and positive peace. They grow internally by creating shared experiences, and a common language to vocalize it together. By joining the affinity group program as a whole, there is also an external development that occurs. The individual groups get a chance to learn from other affinity groups in other states around the country. With each Affinity Group, we are determined to provide the resources and training at our disposal to ensure a pathway for people who are interested in organizing to continue working in a structured and supported environment.
