Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. not only provided spiritual leadership, but also laid out a practical roadmap for how nonviolent leaders and powerful campaigns can bring about social and political change. Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation is an approach to conflict and community leadership that offers values and methods useful for anyone who wants to use conflict constructively in their personal life, in groups, in community issues and building a reconciled world.

According to political scientist Erica Chenoweth, nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts - and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change. In these times of political unrest and violence, many people are ready to step up. This workshop can help provide grounding in the legacy, values, and practices of nonviolent leadership and provide a space to prepare for what’s ahead.

Whether you are an organizer working for social change, a teacher trying to change the culture of your school or simply an individual trying to reconcile conflicts in your personal life, you will return to your organization, workplace, community, or home with new skills for leadership and conflict reconciliation.
