The Kingian Nonviolence Book Club on Monday, August 11 at 6 PM EST is a discussion-based community series rooted in the principles and practices of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s philosophy of nonviolence. Rather than a formal course, this is an open forum for learning, reflection, and connection. Sessions will be monthly, facilitator-led, and theme-based — offering space to explore Kingian Nonviolence through books, articles, videos, and conversations that bring history into dialogue with the present.
This club is for anyone curious about nonviolence as a method for social change. Readings are encouraged but never required. Come as you are — even if you haven’t read the materials — and be part of thoughtful, spirited conversations that connect past and present struggles for justice.
Participants are welcome to join any session throughout the year. We aim to cultivate a reflective, welcoming community of learners, activists, pastors, and neighbors engaging with Kingian Nonviolence in our everyday lives.
This book club session's theme is Radical Love in Action and will be facilitated by TBD.
Meet others interested in Kingian Nonviolence, build Beloved Community, and connect with On Earth Peace's Kingian Nonviolence Learning Action Community!
