See it in your time zone

We invite all Church of the Brethren Racial Justice Advocates and any Brethren or friends concerned about racial injustice to join us for an organizing meetup on November 19.

In 2024, the Church of the Brethren Standing with People of Color Committee created and invited Brethren to volunteer for a new role of leadership in their own context, called Racial Justice Advocates. See key elements of the role listed beneath the event description. This event is intended to support individuals working for racial justice, and help coalesce a network across the denomination.

(This role is complementary to but different from the role of Intercultural Frontliner, to which the COB Office of Intercultural Ministry is inviting church members.)

What to expect in this meeting

  • Make connections with others moving into (or considering) the role of Racial Justice Advocate [See description below]
  • Explore how you could live into this role in your own context
  • Identify skills and support you might need to flourish as a racial justice advocate
  • Establish or reinforce a relational network of Brethren who are confronting racial injustice
