This training will be co-facilitated by Katie Shaw Thompson and Esther Mangzha.
Esther Mangzha has a PhD in Administration and Planning. She has held several posts at various cadres of the government in Nigeria. The last position she held before retiring from the civil service was as the Director General, National Center for Women Development in Nigeria, an apex Agency in charge of research and documentation of Nigerian women issues. Her areas of expertise include education, human development, protection, empowerment and gender. She is also an active member of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria and has held many posts in the church. She is a social activist, who has worked with women and youths at the grassroots for over 30 years. She is the founder of Integrated Women and Youth Empowerment Centre (IWAYEC), a frontline non-governmental organization in the Boko Haram infested Borno State in Nigeria. The organization empowers thousands of women and youths affected by the insurgency crisis, through training in skill acquisition, capacity building, entrepreneurship, livelihood empowerment, trauma healing, psychosocial therapy, Child protection and against Gender Based violence(GBV). She is a Kingian Certified Trainer and a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
