This training will be co-facilitated by Mark Friedman and Kimberly Koczan.
Dr. Mark A. Friedman is inspired to create and live in a world of Beloved Community where authentic, joyful giving and receiving contribute to creating the richest of lives for all people. Mark works with individuals empowering them to live creative, bold and prosperous lives, and with communities and organizations guiding them to fully realize their visions. Mark is a Certification Candidate with the International Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) who has been living, knowing and sharing Nonviolent Communication (NVC) since 2010. Mark embraces and teaches the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King as a Certified Trainer of Kingian Nonviolence (KNV). He deeply values community, contribution, education, creativity, boldness and authenticity.
Kimberly Koczan is a spiritual director & clergyperson ordained in the Church of the Brethren. She currently lives in northeast Indiana but she and her family are about to embark on an extended travel time to learn, teach, notice and rest. Kimberly directs Wisdom's Well, doing spiritual guidance and social transformation work. She is involved with the Midwest Building Decarbonization Coalition, Faith in Place, Poor People's Campaign and a senior fellow in the Environmental Leadership Program. Kimberly is currently a lead coordinator in the Help Not Handcuffs Campaign in Allen County to address human rights abuses in our jail and implement proven jail diversion programs.
