This training will be co-facilitated by Emmy Sterling and Sara Haldeman-Scarr
Emmy (she/her) was first introduced to nonviolent action theory at the James Lawson Institute in 2019, and currently works at the Oregon Fellowship of Reconciliation where she helps facilitate connections with others working for peace with justice throughout Oregon. She feels deeply the connection between economic power, health, and the home and hopes to someday offer sex ed and reproductive health counseling to anyone who wants support. Emmy lives in Portland, OR with her partner and toddler.
Sara Haldeman-Scarr grew up in the Church of the Brethren as a pacifist. Her anabaptist faith came alive in The Will and the skill of KNV. She is a trained as a level one and level two KNV instructor. She recently retired from a 17 yr pastorate in San Diego and now resides in PA.
