This training will be co-facilitated by Mark Westfall-Klym and Katie Shaw Thompson.
Mark A. Westfall-Klym, MPA, is certified by the University of Rhode Island, Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies as a Level II Kingian Nonviolence Trainer. He has over 25 years’ experience in violence prevention programs, is on the board of the Culture of Peace Alliance and a co-founder of the Phoenix Peace Builders (PPB). PPB helps communities heal from generations of trauma through positive change within and without.
Katie Shaw Thompson is a pastor, mother of two, social justice advocate, and four season bike commuter. As a Level One Kingian Nonviolence trainer, she most enjoys helping workshop participants apply this philosophy and methodology to situations of conflict and injustice in their own lives and communities. Katie is currently offering leadership to local campaigns centered on environmental and transportation justice.
