Join us for an overview of Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation at 4pm ET / 3pm CT / 1pm PT on September 23, 2022. Kingian Nonviolence is an approach to conflict and community leadership that offers values and methods useful for anyone who wants to use conflict constructively in your personal life, in group settings, or in community issues and building a reconciled world. 

This 2 Hour webinar covers:

  • The 4 pillars of Kingian Nonviolence

  • Initial introduction to the 6 Principles and 6 Steps - the “Will” and the “Skill” of Kingian Nonviolence.

  • The Social Dynamics of Kingian Nonviolence 

This training will be co-facilitated by Pam Smith and Clara McGilly.

Pam Smith is a public historian and long-time Chicago consultant for nonprofit organizations, currently living in Richmond, Virginia. Her team conducted the feasibility study that set the stage for the Chicago Freedom School. Pam has worked with many youth groups in the city and served as a senior press aide to Jesse Jackson in his 1988 presidential bid and to Barack Obama in his primary campaign for US Senate. Pam is coeditor of The Chicago Freedom Movement: Martin Luther King Jr. and Civil Rights Activism in the North. 

Clara McGilly received her Level 1 Training in Kingian Nonviolence in the fall of 2020 through OEP. She grew up in Oakland, California and is currently a senior at Pitzer College, where she is studying Linguistics and Math. She has worked as a peer writing tutor, a barista, a lifeguard, and a sound operator. In her spare time, Clara enjoys swimming, reading, hiking, and playing games.
