Developing Leaders for Justice and Peace

join hands

We help leaders develop thriving communities of justice and peace, using the discipline of Kingian Nonviolence — in solidarity with movements, and accountability to impacted people.

We are committed to working with young adults through our paid internship program. Everything we do involves Kingian Nonviolence, and interns are involved in everything we do.

We envision a world in Beloved Community, liberated from oppression, violence, and war.

The Six Principles of Kingian Nonviolence

  1. Nonviolence is a way of life for courageous people.
  2. The Beloved Community is the framework for the future.
  3. Attack forces of evil, not persons doing evil.
  4. Accept suffering without retaliation for the sake of the cause to achieve the goal.
  5. Avoid internal violence of the spirit as well as external physical violence.
  6. The universe is on the side of justice.

Learn more about Kingian Nonviolence, and how to use it in your work.

By creating an affinity group in their own areas, people galvanizing like-minded individuals with shared goals towards stronger and more inclusive communities, towards justice and positive peace. They grow internally by creating shared experiences, and a common language to vocalize it together. By joining the affinity group program as a whole, there is also an external development that occurs. The individual groups get a chance to learn from other affinity groups in other states around the country. With each Affinity Group, we are determined to provide the resources and training at our disposal to ensure a pathway for people who are interested in organizing to continue working in a structured and supported environment.
