Bethany Funkhouser

I am from Strasburg, Virginia and I am a member of Columbia Furnace Church of the Brethren. I am going into my senior year at Bridgewater College. I am an English major with a minor in Communications and I hope to pursue a career in Human Rights journalism after graduation. I am excited to be part of the Youth Peace Travel Team and I am looking forward to meeting lots of new people and seeing lots of new places. I am thankful for the peace and love and hope of Christ, and for this very exciting opportunity to talk about it!

Chelsea Goss

Hey everybody! I’m from Mechanicville, Virginia and have grown up in the West Richmond Church of the Brethren. This fall I’m going into my fifth year at Bridgewater College, with a major in Liberal Studies. I can’t wait for all the experiences that are going to head my way while working with the Youth Peace Travel Team. I’ve absolutely loved going to Camp Bethel every summer since second grade, and for this reason, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to visit other COB camps. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about each of them. I’m also looking forward to building relationships with everyone I encounter, and I can’t wait to teach and study a subject I feel passionately about; all while enjoying God’s amazing creation.

Marianne Houff

I am currently a student at Bridgewater College majoring in Music Education with a concentration in Church Music. I live in Pennsylvania at Camp Swatara and attend Palmyra COB. I am very excited to be a part of YPTT this summer. I have worked at Camp Swatara for six summers and am eager to branch out, meet new people, and experience new camps. I am most looking forward to growing, both intellectually and spiritually, through teaching and demonstrating ways to be peaceful in our world today. I hope our ministry as a team makes a difference in the lives of the children we teach by encouraging them to live peaceful lives.
