Conflict in the Family Workshop

(4 hours)

Audience: Adults, youth, and young adult members of the congregation

Often in a family, many find it challenging to manage conflict.  This workshop, based on a model of the resolution of a family conflict in Joshua 22, is designed to help family members understand the dynamics of conflict and family systems and learn ways to create peace among relatives.

Keeping a Cool Head in a Hot Meeting

(8 hours--.8 CEU)

Audience: Congregational and district leaders, pastors and laypersons

Ever chaired a difficult meeting?  Join us to gather the tools necessary for building facilitation skills and confidence, even in the face of challenging issues. 

Deacons as Leaders in Times of Conflict Workshop

Audience: Deacons, deacon chairs, and other congregational leadership

Conflict is an inevitable part of life.  Deacons can play a key role in assisting the congregation when conflict occurs.  Includes time to survey Christ-centered resources for resolving conflicts peacefully. 

Consensus Decision-making

(6 hours--.6 CEU)

Audience:

Congregational Members, Pastors, Leadership Team/Board Members, District and Agency Leadership

Consensus decision-making is a process in which participants craft satisfactory, high-commitment decisions, and allows space for the movement of the Spirit.  Join us as we explore the paradigm shift from traditional linear decision-making to the collaborative process of collective decision-making.
